This is an exciting possibility to combine biochemistry, cell biology and chemical biology to reprogram molecular machines driving autophagy using chemical biology approaches. Candidates with a strong background in biochemistry, cell biology, and/or chemical biology are particularly encouraged to apply.
The position will be located at the Max Perutz Labs and CeMM. The Max Perutz Labs provide access to state-of-the-art facilities and are located at the Vienna BioCenter, a leading center for the molecular life sciences in Europe. CeMM is a biomedical flagship institute located at the campus of one of the largest hospitals in Europe and provides access to high throughput small molecule screening capabilities, (chemo-) proteomics and single-cell biology approaches.
Please send your application including your CV, contact details of two references, a cover letter and a brief summary of your research interests as single file to sascha.martens@univie.ac.at and GWinter@cemm.oeaw.ac.at.
The salary will be according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement of the University of Vienna. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until end of June 2024. For further information please contact Sascha Martens or Georg Winter via the email addresses above.
